Good news: In an effort to offer you more variety and more clinical relevance, DavisPTnetwork currently has over 100 contact hours approved, and we're pleased to provide an update about our course approvals, which we continue to pursue in all states that require continuing education (or continuing competency).

Currently, our courses are approved in all of the following states:

• AK, AL, AZ, CA, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, LA, KS, KY, MD, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, OH, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV
  Note: Before you take a course, be sure to check that your state is listed to make sure that our newest courses have been through the approval process there.
  
  In addition to the above, our application as a provider is pending in NY, which started requiring continuing education for physical therapists in September 2009. Physical therapists will need to earn 36 contact hours within the 3-year period ending in September 2012.

For California residents:
Starting on November 6, 2009, California requires physical therapists to earn 30 hours of continuing competency in each 2-year renewal cycle. For details about how this affects you depending on when your license expires, visit http://www.ptb.ca.gov/licensees/ccreqprop_faq.shtml.
